Hope I can save the rest of you some time. Now I never buy a PC game until some time has passed. It's been getting such great reviews it's a shame you're unable to play it. But it won't open.

i don't even get to the menu of e1, it starts loading (blurry screen), and after some seconds there comes the bluescreen. It seems that the game has sever problems on all newer ATI cards, havent tried on nVidia. Many people have experienced the problem and no one seems to know exactly how to fix it. (Valve haven't really given any help in this area) The problem, as far as Hopefully the extra time they're taking to release Episode will see these problems people are facing taken care of.

What About SCI? Given that you're running the game with a GMA 950 this will scale down all the graphical features and may let you run the game. Type in DXDIAG > ok.

Edit: fixed the problem mention above but now a new one's popped up I can't seem to use weapons at all for some reason.
