I was able to get into a routine of a few hours in the freezer to about 30 minutes of usage until I got almost all of my 300gb of files The external hard drive fell over after I accidentally brushed up against it. not in all cases, but if all your other attempts to get a drive working have failed, it's a pretty good last resort.
