I did find a way to get it back on. Still having problems printing from web pages (X5150) Downloaded drivers etc from Lexmark site but still something not quite right. When you remove the cartridge to fill it, and then re-install it, the printer senses that a cartridge has been replaced. http://printers.iyogi.com/brands/dell/dell-printer-error-0502.html I popped it open again and put some lubricant on the kleenex and wiped the rail down again.
